Write an Ebook

This site was orignally intended to be an E-Book.

I just don't have the time to write an e-book, but I do have time now and then to make a blog post. And there have been a lot of people asking me how they can go about making money online that I decided to do the Blog.
This also allows people to follow along and ask questions.

A while back, I placed an affiliate link on one of my websites for an ebook.
I thought the ebook had a lot of great information and the price of it, $5 was
a bargain.

It turns out the author of the ebook contacted me and he and I became friends and he started writing articles for one of my sites.

His ebook and and website are on the subject of Collecting Vinyl Records
http://www.collectingvinylrecords.com/

Robert, the author is a prime example of someone that has taken their hobby, and turned it into their business.
He has now grown into doing Record Appraisals.

If you have the time, you can write your own ebook and sell it.
(Digital Information Products make a killing on the web....moneywise )

Depending on what software your computer has, you may need to purchase a PDF writer software, you might even be able to find a free one by doing a search.

You could write it in MS Word if you already have it, but the little expense that you would pay for the software, could wind up making you a nice financial return.

Who would buy your ebook?
Anyone that has an interest in your NICHE that is looking for good quality information.

If you have been on the net for awhile, I'm sure you have seen an e-cookbook??
About a year ago, I posted a link to The Official Secret Restaurant Recipes Ebook
on one of my sites (not related to cooking) and wound up receiving commissions for 3 sales that month for $60.00!

What does this tell me/you?
People will buy if they find a product they want/need/desire.

You can create an Ebook and not even have to worry about setting up a website to sell it!
You can create a ClickBank Publisher Account and have their affiliates promote it for you, and when the book sells, YOU GET PAID!!

Seeing I have never written an ebook (but have sold a few) here is resource that I found that can help you Write and Publish Your Own Ebook in 7 Days!
It does cost money, but if your ebook sells, then the small investment is well worth the return!

Review of Sample Posts

The sample posts are just that, samples.

They should give you an idea of how/what you can write about, just be sure they are in your NICHE.

A few years back I wrote a movie review, added some pictures of the actors and their roles in the movie. The plot of the movie, and I even found a video clip on youtube to post in it.

I then added in an amazon link to the movie.

Those that liked the review and wanted to see it clicked on the link and bought it, in turn, that generated me sales.

The Blog, The Post and The Link, did not cost me any money, and I made money from it.

You want to make your posts attractive and to the point.
You want your readers to be avid readers.
Don't make posts just for the sake of posting.
Have some substance to what you are writing about.
What you write about is a direct reflection of you and your business.
Be professional, but yet be real. They want to hear from YOU, not from some automated company or script.
Be sure to add in affiliate product links and your click ads.

I may not be the best teacher in the world, nor do I have the golden key to success, but I do make money online with no money.

Sometimes the money I make is minimal, and other times I make out pretty good.

Just last week I got a letter in the mail and I wasn't sure who it was from.
I opened it up and low and behold, a check for $36.00!

I'm looking at it and I can;t figure out what this check is for.
It wasn't money that I was expecting or counting on.

I had to go through some of my affiliate accounts and find out where the
check was from and how I generated it.

It turns out one of my affiliate links sold 2 products last month with a commission of $18.00 per sale!

Then a week later I got an email from PayPal with my Google Adsense Commission for the previous month for $107.83

Thats $143.83 cents I made without having to punch a time clock!

You to can learn how to do this with Blogging to The Bank!

I am a Batman Fanatic!

Being an adult, I can buy myself whatever I want and Christmas is enjoyed by me through the eyes of my children.

However, this Christmas I wanted the new Batman Movie.
As I did not get a chance to go to the theater to see it, I thought it would be better if I just put it on my Christmas list.

Low and behold, I got it as a present!! woo hoo!!

I couldn't wait to kick back in my recliner, dim the lights and crank the surround sound and watch it.

If you like any of the previous Batman movies, chances are you are going to love this as much as I did.

Heath Ledger did an excellent job as the Joker.

Christian Bale did another great job playing Batman.

This movie I give a 2 thumbs up!

The movie moved quickly and was action packed and suspensful that when it was over, I couldn't believe it was over, I felt like I had just sat down 10 minutes ago.
This is a movie that will not bore you or wait for it to be over, I wanted more!!

View the Movie Trailer Here!

This movie is for Batman Lovers Everywhere!

The Holidays are now over and I hope that yours was enjoyable as mine :)

One of the great things about the Holidays is all the delicious foods that my mom makes just for the holidays.

Do you remember that once special dish you just couldn't wait until next the Holiday Season to get a taste of?

When I was growing up I always loved my Moms Baked Perogies.
Now that my Mom lives so far away, I don't get to have them during the Holidays anymore, but I did get my Mom to share her recipe with me, and I am now going to share it with you!

Mom's Baked Perogies

Dough:

3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
3 large eggs
2 tablespoons sour cream, buttermilk, or plain yogurt
1 cup water (more if required)
butter or oil
salt and pepper

Combine flour, half of the water, eggs, and the sour cream, buttermilk or yogurt in a large bowl. Stir vigorously to incorporate the eggs.
Slowly stir in the remaining water until a dough begins to form. Turn out onto a floured surface and knead gently, lifting dough to stretch.

Continue lifting and stretching the dough until the dough is smooth and somewhat sticky inside, about 3 minutes or so. Do not overwork the dough - if it begins to become elastic, allow it to rest 5-10 minutes under an overturned bowl before working with it again.

When the dough has been kneaded enough, place in a storage bag in the refrigerator to rest 20 minutes, or leave on the counter under an overturned bowl 30 minutes, to allow any gluten which may have developed to rest.

While the dough is resting, you can prepare the filling.

Filling:

3 medium or 2 very large waxy potatoes (baking)
3 T unsalted butter
1-2 T light olive oil (or schmaltz)
1 large onion, minced
2-3 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups cabbage, finely shredded
1 small leek, finely minced (optional)
2 T Parmesan or white cheddar cheese, grated

Cook the potatoes in their jackets, in a covered heavy pot with barely enough water to cover them in slightly salted water (add about 2 tsp salt to the water). Simmer over low heat until potatoes are fork tender, then remove from heat. (If you can judge when they'll be done, remove from heat 10 minutes in advance and just allow to steam in the pot with the heat turned off).
Allow the potatoes to cool sufficiently to handle, and rub off the skins with a clean towel. Drain the pot you cooked them in, and return the potatoes to the pot and shake them around a bit to dry them.

Put the potatoes through a sieve or a potato ricer if you have one, otherwise, use a masher. Set them aside.

In a skillet, combine butter and oil or schmaltz over medium heat to melt. Saute the garlic, onion, and leek, if you have one, for a few minutes until they begin to take on a translucent color.

Stir in the cabbage, turn the heat to high for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, reduce heat and allow cabbage to begin to brown, 6-8 minutes. Then add the potatoes, cheese, and season to taste. Remove from heat and go on to work with the dough again as the filling cools.

Remove the dough from the refrigerator and form it into balls 1 1/2 to 2" in diameter. Roll each out with a rolling pin into a 3-3 1/2" round approximately 1/8 inch in thickness. Cover the ones you've made with a damp paper towel as you work. If you prefer, you can use a KitchenAid pasta roller attachment (or other pasta machine) to roll out the dough circles. Be sure to flour both sides lightly first.

Hold the dough in one hand, and place a round ball of filling or spoonful into the center. Fold in half to enclose the filling, and pinch the edges securely together. Don't allow filling to touch the edges to avoid an imperfect seal. Be sure there are no openings along the edges, or the filling will boil out.

Boil a large pot of salted water as you continue to fill the remaining pierogi until all the ingredients run out. As you work, place a sheet of waxed paper dusted lightly with flour or corn meal over and between the pierogi layers until ready to boil.

Cooking: Gently lower pierogi into rapidly boiling water 3-5 at a time and cook for a few minutes until they float to the surface. Remove with a slotted spoon and continue til all are cooked. Serve fresh with melted butter, or saute in butter until lightly brown on outside.

An alternative to cooking these in water is to boil them in the broth remaining from a boiled ham, or in chicken broth.

NOTE: If your pierogi are too doughy, you either rolled the dough circles so they were not thin enough, or if their thickness was correct, they may not have been evenly rolled or cooked sufficiently. The first attempt is not always perfect, but if you note where you could have done better, your next batch will be much improved!

Blog Content

Your blog content should be relative to your blog.

You should not be writing about a fishing product if your NICHE is cooking.

However, you can share personal experiences in your blogs.

You want your blog to be written by you. People want to read what is written from a the person that owns the blog. You want to build a relationship with your readers.

This is my blog, but if I just started grabbing articles from other writers and posting them here, chances are I would not be getting a loyal following.

Nobody wants to read a blog post 5 pages long, that is too much.
Try and keep it to a few paragraphs if possible.

Stay On Topic.

If your are really in a mood to write, make extra posts, don't try and cram everything into one post.

Your posts should be easy to read and not have a lot of technical mumbo jumbo.
Some people just might not be as savvy as you.

My next 3 posts are going to be example posts to give you a better idea.

Online Money Processors

Now that I write this post, I think I should have wrote this one a lot sooner as you will be needing a way to collect your earnings.

With the majority of the sites that you will be making money with, you will need a way to accept payments.

Some places will give you an option, and some won't, on how payments are made to you.

Most of them will require that you have a PayPal Account.
Paypal is an Online Money Processor.

Online Money Processors allow you to send and receive money without the need of a Credit Card Merchant Account.

Online Money Processors are safe and secure.
You create a free account, and with just an email address, places like google, revver, shareapic, bidvertiser (and more) can send you money that you have earned just by sending it to your PayPal Account Email Address.

Once the money has been added to your account, you now have a few options.
1. Leave it there and turn on the free money market account and let it draw you interest.
2. Use that money to make purchases online.
3. Get a free PayPal Debit card and get your money from any ATM machine, or use the debit card to make purchases.
4. Have the money from Paypal sent to your checking or savings account.
5. Have paypal sound you a check.
6. email me your paypal earnings because you love me :)

You will definetly need a PayPal Account, and if you don't already have one, click on the banner below.

Sign up for PayPal and start accepting credit card payments instantly.

Plus! Each time you reffer a new merchant sign up for a PayPal Business or Premier account via the link or banner that you provide, you'll be eligible for a Merchant Referral Bonus. Your referral bonus is tied to the amount the merchant receives via PayPal's Website Payment Tools or Send Money.

Another online money processor is Alertpay.
Alertpay works and acts the same as Paypal, except the majority of websites don;t use Alertpay, but it gives you options.

There are other online money processors, MoneyBookers, E-Gold and more, but for the most part, you will be using Paypal about 99% of the time.

PayPal is owned by Ebay and is a trusted name in the online community.

You will definetly need a PayPal Account in this business!

Monetize with Pictures!

Me with the band Shadows Lie

You can make money by adding pictures to your blog, website, social network page and even by sending a link to your friends.

I just created an account wirh ShareAPic.
They pay .22 cents per 1000 views.
Now that may not seem like much money, but it does add up, especially if you have a few dozen (or even hundreds) pictures getting thousands of a views a month.

Now, to enhance your earnings even more, you can tie in your ShareAPic account with BidVertiser and monetize that photo even more with click ads.

In this business, every little bit of income helps, even if it is .22 cents
I have 1 website that does over 15,000 page views a month.
15,000 x .22 = $3.30
Now if I repeat this process 10 times, I earn $33.00
Multiply that by 12 months = $396.00

You may still be saying, that is not that much money, and this is true, but....
You are making money with No money.
You have more money now than when you started.

If I work a full time job at $10 an hour, I gross $400 a week
$396.00 is like a week of work without punching a time clock.
That extra $396 helps me put money away for, vactions, car payments, kids braces, xmas shopping, or whatever I want to use it for.

My dad had a saying......
It is not how much money you make, it is what you do with your money that counts.

If I take that $396 along with the other money I make, Google Adsense, Amazon, Bidvertiser, Clickbank etc.
and put it into an IRA or some other type of investment, and allow that money to make me money, I am compounding my earnings.

I am that much closer to.......
A new car, a new home, my childrens college fund, retirement.

Again, everything I am showing you here is about making money, not about getting rich. Make whatever money you can make, however you can make it, save it, invest it, and you are way ahead of the game.

Monetize with Video!

Did you know that you can make money just by passing around a video or posting on your blog or website?

In the video below you will see ads at the lower portion of the video, and also at the end. When clicked, you get paid!

How many times has someone sent you a video or a link to a video?
When a video is funny, people pass it around, and when they get it, they pass it on to others. This is called "Viral" marketing.

If has a value to it, others are compelled to pass along.
This is extremely true of Videos, Pictures and Jokes.
The video above has had over 450,000 views!

On Revver.com there are a lot of videos that you should be able to find something to add to your blog and get paid for the ads.

You can even create your own videos, upload it to Revver abd make money from it.
Others can then place your video on their sites, pass around links to it, and when ads are click, you get paid! (one of my videos below)

Click Here to get a FREE Revver Account and Make Money with Videos!

You can also make Money with videos at Flixya

Point of Interest: I have added Google Adsense, PayDot.com Widget and the video above to this blog. That is 3 different ways to Monetize your blog, and there are more that I will cover in up and coming lessons

Affiliate Programs

Affiliate Programs allow you to post ads, products, links, banners, widgets, code and the like, on your blog or website.

When someone clicks on that specific item and performs an action, you then receive a commission.

The type of programs and products that are available vary. But there is pretty much something out there for just about any niche market.

The "Action" and "Commission" also vary.

What is "Action"
Action is what is needed to be done by the visitor to your site, sometimes by just clicking on an ad, you get paid, as with Google Adsense.

(Be sure to read the TOS on Google Adsense, as well as all the other affiliate programs as you do not want to be kicked out for a violation and lose a revenue stream. )

Action could also mean that the person that clicked on an ad, might have to make a purchase, or offer up their email address.

The "Commission" will vary from each program, some pay just pennies (but these ad up to $$$) and some pay as high as 75% of the sale!

For example, I have a website that has a bunch of Fonts available as free downloads, on this site I have an "Affiliate Link" to a site that sells over 10,000 fonts for $19.95, when someone click on the affiliate link and buys, I make an $8.54 cent commission. That site is called RockBandFonts.com

Affiliate Programs are FREE to join.
You promote the products and when an "Action" is completed, you earn a "Commission"

Here is a list of Affiliate Programs I use.
You can also do searches on Affiliate Programs on any search engine to find more.

Linkshare - I use Linkshare to promote iTunes
LinkShare Referral Prg

PayDot.com - I have added a widget on this blog to the right that also ties in with my clickbank.com account.

ClickBank.com

Amazon.com

CJ.com

OfferWeb.com

There are sites out there that have an affiliate program that are not tied in with the sites above, try doing a search for your specific niche with affiliate program.
Example: Bass Fishing Affiliate Program

Monetize Your Blog

This is what you have been waiting for!

How to make money, with no money!

As discussed earlier, you add Google Adsense to your blog.
If you haven't done so already, go to www.Google.com/adsense and create an adsense account. Once you have done that, login to your blogger account, and go into Layout.
Once in layout, add a Gadget. Pick Google Adsense.

Place Google Adsense at the TOP LEFT and Bottom of the page, much like on this blog.
Changing colors, sizes and layout is up to you.

Now, you can also Monetize in other ways such as Amazon.com

Becoming an Amazon Associate is free.
It doesn't cost you anything, and you make money from them by selling products on their site.

For Example: If you are doing a blog on cooking, you can link to a specific cookbook, kitchen untensil, or appliance and place the banner on your blog.
When someone clicks on that banner or link, and purchases that item, you receive a commission. This holds true for an affiliate program.

How would you use the banner or link within your blog?

If today I am writing a blog post about Italian Recipes, I might link to an Italian Cook Book on Amazon within that post.

Of if I am writing about a kitchen utensil that works real well, then I would link to that item. Write a review of that item and place the link or banner on that page.

There are other places you can become an affiliate for that you can do the same exact thing as you did with Amazon.

I will include a list of links in a post called Affiliate Programs that you can join that can help you monetize your blog other peoples products.

The whole concept is to write about something, then match up a related affiliate product with it, then post that item. Or write a review about that product.

Your First Blog Post!

Now it is time to make your first Blog post.

Your first post should be about you and why you created your blog.

For me, I created this blog to teach people how to make money with no money.
As you can read about me and this post more in my About Me and This Blog Post for more direction.

Stay away from " I started this blog to make money"
People will run away from your blog and think there is nothing of value.

By sharing your thoughts and ideas of why you are blogging, you allow people to become comfortable with you, to want to read and explore what you have to share.

Maybe you are setting up a blog to share recipes, share your fishing tips, talk about those in your About me post.

Once you have that completed, then you are ready to "Monetize Your Blog"

Starting a Blog

By now, you should have your Niche, and Name for Your Niche Business.

Now you are ready to start a Blog.

I recommend Blogger.com as it is easy to tie in Adsense, and other Google aps and widgets, plus! Google owns Blogger so your site will be indexed sooner than other sites.

I am not going to go through the ins and outs of creating your account, as it is pretty self explanitory. Plus there is help along the way with Blogger to help you get up and running in no time.

Spend some time on reading and exploring your Dashboard inside your Blogger account.

I have included the video below to show you how to get started creating your blogger account.

Naming Your Business

Now that you have picked a Business, you need to define it.

To help with this section, I am going to create an example to show you.

I like comedy, and it is different from what I normally do (computers) and thought it would make for a great example.

No, I am not a comedian, but my friends are always sending me links to funny videos by email, so I decided to use funny web videos as a business.

Ok, I went from comedy, to Videos, to funny web videos.
See how I drilled down to find my niche?

Now that I found my niche, I created a blog, using the name of my niche
Funny Web Videos

Here is the blog http://funnywebvideos.blogspot.com

I recommend using your niche topic in the name of your business, this helps for what people are searching for to help pull you up higher in searches.

On this Blog, I started off with an About Me post, and why I created the post.
Do not tell people you started your blog or business to make money, you will lose interest right away.

On this blog, I posted some funny videos.
So how do I make money with that?
In the beginning, you should not worry about monetizing right away.
But what I did was created my Blog, and then added to the blog Google Adsense.

So, what you need to do is find a name for your business,
Bobs Fishing Tips, Big Bass Tip Secrets,
Once you have that, you are ready to move to " Starting a Blog"

What niche business is for you?

What kind of business do you want to be in?

You are not going to show much interest, let alone be good at something if you do not have a want, need, desire or knowledge about...right?

For example, if you start a Computer Business, but don't know much about them, how successful or enthusiastic will you be about it? Not very....right?

I ask people these questions to help them find their Niche (Nitch)

If you could be doing anything, what would you be doing?
What is it that you do better than anyone else?
What is your Passion/Hobby?
What do friends/family members come to you with for your expertise?

Here are a few responses I have gotten.
Reading, History, Cooking, Fitness, Movies, Collecting.

So, what is it that motivates and excites you?
That is what you need to focus on.

Maybe you like, Hunting, Fishing, Sports, Landscaping, Home Improvements, Computers, Pets, Fossils, Music, Saving Money, Knitting, Fasion, Celebrity Gossip, Stocks, Saving Money, Investing, Race Cars, Boating, Insects, Wildlife, Photography.
Whatever it is, you can build a business around it and make money with it.

To help you better find your Niche (Business) I am going to give some examples.

Sally likes to read, but who is going to pay her to read books? Probably nobody.
However, Sally can read her books as she always does, but after reading a book, she rights a review of that book.
So Sally is now in the Book Reviews Business.

Bob likes to fish, he goes after work and on weekends, whenever and wherever he can.
Shy of winning some fishing tournaments, Bob really doesn't stand getting paid by Zebco to fish for a living...right?
What if Bob starts his own online Fishing Tips Blog?
Maybe Bob is a killer Bass Fisherman and has great tips on how to catch the big ones?
Do you think people that like to fish and catch bass will read his blog? YES!
So Bob is now in the Fishing Business.

My wife had a hobby of making chocolates during the Holiday season.
Everyone loves her candy, and they where always telling her she should go into business for herself. But starting a business can be a big risk/investment.
It started it with her giving Chocolates as a gift, then people asked if she would make a box so they could give them as gifts.
So, she would make it, sell it to them and she made money from that.
She now has a full blown website selling chocolates (and my pants have gone up 2 sizes).

Of course building a website and maintaining it costs money, but what I am trying to show you is that she found her niche from something she likes to do.
If you notice, I did not put a link to her site, as I am not pushing her business in this blog, I am trying to show you how to make money and where/how to get your inspiration.

Once you find your NICHE, you need to do a little research to make sure there is an interest in it.
If you are into worm farming, and nobody has an interest, chances are you are not going to do so well.

So, once you find your nich, go to a search engine and search for topics that people might use to find your niche.

Examples: Bass Fishing Tips; Book Reviews; Homemade Chocolate Candy;
If you see Sponsor Ads and a lot of competeing pages, chances are you have a good niche. If not, you might want to find another Niche Business.

Sub or Micro Niches
What is a Sub or Micro Niche?
Lets say Cooking is your Niche. Here are Sub Niches
Baking, Cakes, Entree's, Deserts.

A Micro Niche is a Niche within a Niche.
Cooking:Cakes:Decorating
Cooking:Cakes:Recipes
Cooking:BBQ: Recipes:
Cooking: BBQ: Grilling
Cooking: BBQ: Spicy: Grilled Foods

If you like to cook, but are not good at cakes, but are a whiz when it comes to grilling, then Grilling is where you want to be!

I hope this topic helps you find your Niche.
If you have problems finding your niche, post a comment on what you like doing and I will respond to help you find your niche.

This IS a Business!

What is a business?

The dictionary in front of me explains the word Business as......
1. One's work; occupation
2. Special Task or Duty
3. Rightful concern
4. Matter of affair
5. Commerce; trade
6. A commercial or industrial establishment

You will need to work at this like any other business.
No, you do not need to spend 40 hours a week at it, unless you have the time and want to devote that much time to it.

I recommend that you devote whatever time you can afford, if it is 1 hour every other Thursday, then commit to 1 hour every other Thursday.

If you can afford 2 hours a week, then commit to those hours/days.

Set a schedule and stick to it.

This, first and foremost IS a Business, YOUR BUSINESS!
You have to take this seriously, if you don't, who else will?

About Me and This Blog

Hello and thank you for checking out my Blog!

My name is Tom, and I am avid in computers, websites, and making money online.
I run my own PC and Website Services business, TomsPC.com and TomsPC.net.

I am also the owner and creator of iLike2Rock.net, an online Music Community that promotes bands, gives music lovers a place to hang out. From here I do live radio shows, podcasts and a lot more. I have about 12 music sites in all that I run.

I have been making money online with computers and websites since 1991, and since that time I have started monetizing my sites in other ways than just the basic services I offer.

For example: On TomsPC.com, I do PC repair work for Home Users and Small Business, but on that site I have added Google Adsense and affiliate marketing to add multiple streams of income that make money for me that does not require me to fix computers.

I have decided to set up this blog after reading alot of posts on MyLot, a lot of people are asking questions on making money, making money with no money, different ways they have been scammed on so called get rich quick schemes etc.

So, I decided to put this Blog together to teach you how to get started Making Money with No Money, how to monetize what you do, how to find what works for you, how to get traffic and more so you can start making money.

Please be advised that I make no claims to how much money you can make, or that you are going to get rich.

This is a BUSINESS and you have to work at it to become successful.
Even if you do not make enough money to replace your current income, you will learn many aspects of internet marketing that can help you on your path to making money online.

The information that I offer here is FREE and I have come to learn it from a lot of hard work, late nights reading, testing and trial and error.

Due to my hectic schedule, I may not post on here as often as I like, or as often you might want me to, but I will do my best to pump out as much information as I can to get you started.

Please post comments and questions to this blog so I can respond to them, and that others can read and learn from them.

I look forward to working with you and hope with this information, you can start making money online with no money!

PC-ing you!
Tom
